Remodeling type housings are used when installing lights on a finished ceiling. To remodel the housings, special clips are used that fix the lamp to the ceiling itself, rather than to the ceiling beams. They are designed to be installed from under the roof. In the case of remodeled recessed lighting, the installation is carried out by cutting a hole in the ceiling and fixing the appliance housing to the hole.
